Blogs are a wonderful way to communicate and collaborate. They allow for careful thought and meaningful response. We get to know the creator as well as the individuals making comments. It has an intimate quality with a universal effect when use responsibility.

Do you think this is true?

  1. This is definitely true. When used responsibly, imagine the possibilities! We engage each other with conversation and creativity. At the same time, while sharing our creative forces, we simultaneously teach and learn from each other. I look forward with much anticipation to the blog experience and hope I learn much as I continue on this journey.

  2. I wholeheartedly agree. Blogs are useful for all learners whether you're the teacher or the student. I like the focus of this blog because it ensures that MAT students have the opportunity to provide feedback about their learning experience at JWU.

  4. The video was nice. It backed up some of my own fears and feelings. I often feel I may be a little naive with my views on teaching. I didn't realize, if it's true, that teachers often quit after the first five years...that is a little alarming.

  5. So far, class is the only experience I have had with blogs. However, it seems like they are a great way to collaborate with other teachers and students. I like that I can create and edit my blog any time I wish and that other people can give me feedback about things.

  6. true. in a matter of minutes, i've found out things about a dozen or more classmates. just reading and seeing their logs gives a new perspective on each of them. i imagine this would be incredibly useful in getting to know a side of students the average classroom experience would never expose. thanks henry, for getting involved in this with us.

  7. Yes, I agree. I'm wondering if some of my affinity to blogging is because I love writing! In any case, I like what you said about both the intimate and universal qualities of blogging. It's a useful collaborative tool that also happens to be "way cool!"
