My favorite teacher was Helen Holdridge. She was my fifth grade teacher who reached out to a small group of us ten year olds and made us feel special. It was many, many years later before other people came into my life who made me feel that special and worthwhile. She is one of the reasons I am in this program...I want to pick up where she left off...for the children...
It's weird....I can't really think of a favorite teacher or one who had more of an effect on me than any other teacher....well I know for sure and make sure that I will be that favorite teacher!!!
My favorite teacher of all time; Uncle Pete! Well, Peter St. John, but we all called him Uncle Pete. He would read us Mark Twain, entertain us with his 5 mastered languages, let us watch relevent movies in class instead of work... he is probably the smartest guy I have ever met.
